Grassroots Project of the Year

St Neot AFC are enormously pleased to announce that we have been awarded Grassroots Project of the Year 2022 by the Cornwall FA.

Being awarded Grassroots Project of the Year 2022 recognises that St Neot AFC has made a significant difference to life in our local community.

Post the Covid 19 pandemic it was the clubs intention to bring football back to St Neot after a 7 year absence. To provide for as many of the demographics of the people in our village, to allow people to exercise, interact, make new mates and improve their mental health.

The club has, in less than a year, set up a men’s 11v11 team, and has ventured into Walking Football for the more ‘experienced’ members of our community. It is the clubs intention to find a more permanent home in the parish and hopefully set up football for the younger members of the village to continue on this exciting adventure.

This award is recognition of the hard work, commitment and passion for the St Neot AFC Project from the committee, players and community of St Neot.

The official presentation of the award will be made on the 2nd September in Redruth at an awards evening hosted by the CCFA .
