Walking Football Coming to St. Neot

The committee of St. Neot AFC are enormously pleased to announce we will be setting up a Walking Football team in 2022.

Since the initial call for interested people to let us know if we should do it, we received lots of interest and positive feedback via social media. At the committee meeting on the 14th on the December 2021 it was decided that we should form a team, with club secretary Matt Thornhill becoming the ‘manager’.

Walking Football is a unique small-sided ball game created by John Croot in 2011. It’s similar in some respects to Association Football and this is what makes it such a great sport. The physical benefits, the mental health aspect plus the camaraderie and friendship this sport engenders is what was important to St. Neot AFC

St. Neot Walking Football is open to BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, and if it sounds like something you would be interested in doing then please get in touch via social media or email:

We will so we’re going to do it! We will get Christmas and and Lockdowns out of the way and 2022 we will organise training with a view to playing friendlies and entering competitions in the future.
