A very interesting and informative meeting last night…
What the Cornwall Football Association Had to Say:
Joshua Stockdale Football Development Officer With Cornwall FA was at the meeting and explained that the ‘Callywith Flexi League’ would be a great place to start as a new team.

The Flexi league is 11v11, played for 60 minutes on the 3G pitch at the Callywith College in a Monday or Tuesday League under floodlights.
The next phase of competition commences in 2 weeks time. Josh explained that all you need to join this league is players, kit, affiliation and insurance. We’ve got kit; affiliation and insurance is the easy bit, just need players.

It was agreed that the Flexi League approach would be a great starting block for St. Neot AFC and that the Monday Night Flexi League maybe the best league to start in, but the league start date was a little tight in order to get a team and do training before the league. Josh did say he could manipulate the fixtures to give us a few more weeks to prepare and St. Neot’s season could start on either 27th September or 4th October depending on where we were at, that’s the joy of the Flexi League.
WANT TO PLAY?
The flexi league is full size, 11v11 men’s football (for women’s football in Cornwall please follow this link: WOMEN’S FOOTBALL IN CORNWALL)
Currently a 2 player limit on senior players (those playing in Peninsula league football and above) and that the games have roll on roll off subs. The age of the players starts from 16 years up to guys in their 40’s and 50s.
If you’d be interested in playing please contact us: stneotfootball@gmail.com
TRAINING
We will run an informal training session in St. Neot park, then back up to the London Inn on Sunday 12th September at 11am, for anyone interested in playing to meet the rest of the guys, have a chat see if its for them…
The attendees at the meeting feel that with the interest shown already from potential players that we could achieve the goal of starting a team and join the league.
FORMING A CLUB COMMITEE
We are going to have a general meeting on Sunday 5th September at the London Inn starting a 7pm. This is in order to elect a committee to take the project forward all are welcome.
